M. Reneé Bostick is a recognized national expert in health information technology and exchange. She has more than thirty years experience in commercial and public sector leadership. She served as the Executive Director of Health Information Technology for FourThought Group, leading efforts to align the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) with the rapidly expanding nationwide Health Information Technology (HIT) and Exchange (HIE) environment. She served as Chair of the HIE Workgroup of the Private Sector Technical Architecture Group, and was appointed by Ohio Governor Strickland to the Ohio Health Information Partnership Advisory Board.
As the Chief Administrative Officer for Ohio Health Plans (Ohio’s Medicaid Program), M. Reneé Bostick led the State’s largest business-driven technology transformation project -- Medicaid Information Technology System – as an early adopter of MITA.
In addition to her HIT/E practice, M. Reneé Bostick has extensive experience in the behavioral health care (BHC), developmental disabilities (DD) and advocacy fields. She served as CEO and COO for the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County, as Deputy Director for the Ohio Department of Mental Health, as an executive in provider organizations in BHC and DD areas. In federally designated Protection and Advocacy programs in Ohio and Michigan, M. Reneé Bostick advanced the rights of persons with disabilities through systemic change, Congressional testimony and law review article, as well as serving multiple terms as President of the National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy, and as a representative of the National Association of Protection and Advocacy Systems to the MacArthur Foundation.
Ms. Bostick has a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelors of Science of Social Welfare from The Ohio State University. Ms. Bostick is based in HMA’s Columbus, Ohio office.
