Sandra Berger joined Health Management Associates as a senior consultant in April 2007. She has more than 20 years experience in the health care field, with expertise in commercial and Medicaid managed care organizations, and in competitive bidding procedures and contract development. As a former state regulator, she participated in health plan readiness reviews, accreditation surveys and served as liaison to Florida’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) ad hoc committee for selecting health plans. As a senior policy analyst, she participated in the design and development of Florida’s Medicaid reform efforts; had administrative oversight for multi-million dollar competitive bids involving health care and administrative services; and contract negotiations. Ms. Berger is certified as a Project Manager Professional (PMP). Ms. Berger is based in the Tallahassee, Florida office.
