Ms. Ellis joined HMA in 1992. She is well known for the depth of her knowledge of health care reimbursement and financing. At Health Management Associates Ms. Ellis assists state agencies in improving the effectiveness of their Medicaid and other health care programs and also assists states and communities in development of alternative strategies to fund health care for low-income uninsured individuals. She also performs program and trend analyses for major national foundations. Prior to joining HMA, Ms. Ellis had nearly 20 years of experience in state government. She was involved in health and human services planning and policy, with a special emphasis on Medicaid.
