Diana Rodin has more than a decade of experience conducting policy analysis and program evaluation related to public health and healthcare systems, with a particular focus on maternal and child health.

She conducts qualitative case study research and policy analysis for government and foundation clients, covering a range of topics, such as maternal and child health programs and enhanced models of maternity care in Medicaid.

In collaboration with other project team members, Diana participated in the federal evaluation of the Strong Start for Mothers and Newborns Initiative from 2013 to 2018, and led the development of a study examining strategies to increase access to post-partum care and supports resulting from that evaluation, published in the Journal of Women’s Health in 2019.

Diana is an experienced grant writer and program developer for health and human services organizations, including for applications by community health centers to obtain Federally Qualified Health Center funding.

She has developed policy analyses examining state policies to support population health, the implications of national policy changes for state-funded public coverage programs, lead testing in Medicaid, and many other issues. She also provides technical assistance to community-based organizations as part of state efforts to reduce infant mortality by addressing drivers of health and provided technical assistance to community-based health consortia to develop multi-sectoral health improvement efforts.

Diana previously worked for a state Medicaid director’s office and at a public health-focused communications firm. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a master’s degree in health policy and management from the University of California at Berkeley School of Public Health.
