HMA is launching a new blog

Change is the new normal for healthcare today. The industry is in constant flux. Healthcare reform is prompting us to reimagine what we do and how we deliver healthcare. It seems many public, private and nonprofit stakeholders are taking different approaches, sparking a daily stream of research, studies and trends to inform your next move.

But who has time to sift through all that data? Keeping current with the latest developments alone is a full-time job. That’s where HMA can help.

You’ve counted on us for decades to provide clear insights into policy, programs and financing to get the job done. We provide counsel, research, whitepapers, webinars and weekly updates.

And now, we’re writing a blog.

The HMA blog is where you will find the latest news about HMA, our colleagues and our work. And it will complement our current content by giving our experts a dynamic forum to share insights about the issues that are immediately impacting our industry – such as managed care, Medicaid expansion, population health, telemedicine, accountable care and so many others.

Blog posts will be authored by familiar names, experts at HMA. They’ve headed departments at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of Management & Budget (OMB). They’ve run Medicaid programs, and worked as mental health commissioners, state budget officers, Cabinet-level health secretaries, and policy advisors to governors and other elected officials. You’ll hear from former CEOs, COOs, CFOs and other hospital, health system and state-based health insurance exchange leaders. And, of course, rounding out our team are physicians and other clinicians who have run health centers and integrated systems of care–most who are still practicing medicine every week.

Subscribers will have the opportunity to comment on posts, adding depth and additional perspective for our HMA community. Sign up for a subscription to the left of this post.

We plan to post several times a month to help keep you informed of the latest at HMA and in the publicly funded healthcare arena. We hope you’ll visit often.
