HMA’s Henneberry on Panel Discussing State Innovation Models

HMA Principal Joan Henneberry will serve as a panelist at the Sept. 18 Driving Transformation in Medicaid event in New York City.

Joan will be a panelist for the “Goals and Challenges of Current State Innovation Models” session. She and her fellow panelists will discuss how various states are using the State Innovation Model (SIM) opportunity to develop and test State Health Innovation Plans.

A principal in the Denver office, Joan’s work at HMA assists public and private sector clients in their efforts to bring new services, higher quality, and better value to the health care system.

Prior to joining HMA, Joan was the planning director for the Health Insurance Exchange in Colorado. From 2007-2011, she served on the cabinet of Colorado Governor Bill Ritter Jr. as executive director of the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, the state agency responsible for public health insurance programs, including Medicaid and CHP+. She was the senior health policy advisor to the Governor, developing and implementing policies and programs that expanded the availability of public health insurance programs for the State of Colorado.

HMA is helping clients across the country navigate health care reform and new frontiers, such as the SIM opportunity. See why our colleagues are the best of the best.
