HMA’s Henneberry to Talk About Affordable Care Act on Studio 12 October 9

HMA Principal Joan Henneberry will appear on PBS/Colorado Public Television, Channel 12’s live show Studio 12 at 7 p.m. Mountain Time October 9.

The show will explore the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the government shut down. Joan will explain various aspects of the Affordable Care Act, how it impacts the public, and various ACA preparations taking place in Colorado.

Joan opened HMA’s Denver Office in January 2012 after serving as the planning director for the Health Insurance Exchange in Colorado. From 2007-2011, Joan served on the cabinet of Governor Bill Ritter Jr. as executive director of the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, the state agency responsible for public health insurance programs, including Medicaid and CHP+. She was the senior health policy advisor to the Governor, developing and implementing policies and programs that expanded the availability of public health insurance programs for the State of Colorado.

Also joining the live round table discussion will be Professor Norman Provizer, political science professor at Metro State University of Denver.
