HMA Principal Donna Strugar-Fritsch was one of 28 experts in the field of correctional health interviewed for the recently released report, “Managing Prison Health Care Spending.”
The report is part of The State Health Care Spending Project, an initiative of The Pew Charitable Trusts and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The report examines state spending on inmate health care and the factors driving costs higher. It also reviews strategies that some states have used to control these expenses while protecting public safety and maintaining or improving the quality of care that prisoners receive.
Donna, who has a BSN with a master’s in public administration, is a certified correctional health care professional. In March 2013 Donna presented the webinar, “New Faces in the Expansion Population: Parolees and Ex-Offenders.”
