Amy Einhorn, MPP
Amy Einhorn brings vast health policy and health insurance experience in both the public and private sectors to HMA.
Prior to joining HMA, Amy was the director of Research and Policy Initiatives at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). She oversaw TDI’s health insurance research, analysis and reporting efforts and special policy initiatives.
In her role at TDI, Amy led the development and implementation of Healthy Texas and oversaw all aspects of Healthy Texas operations. She also directed the ongoing evaluation of the intersection of federal health reform requirements with state laws.
Amy spent nearly a decade in the commercial health insurance industry where she was responsible for strategic planning, government relations and program operations. She is an expert in the areas of health policy research and analysis, federal grant management, regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, program formulation and implementation and project management.
Amy received a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and her bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
Amy was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and loves Hawaiian music and culture. In her free time, chances are you will find Amy hiking with her husband and two children or exploring all that Austin has to offer.
