Chelsea Peters has experience working on program planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as community health assessments, qualitative and quantitative research, and holistic healthcare. With experience in public health, health education, and research, Chelsea supports HMA colleagues on a variety of projects.
Prior to joining HMA, Chelsea helped in many facets of a public health program designed to reduce emergency department visits by children on Medicaid for the nonprofit Colorado Children’s Healthcare Access Program (CCHAP). She managed their qualitative data collection and analysis throughout the project by creating and conducting interviews, as well as focus groups, and key informant interviews for further qualitative support for project outcomes. While working with CCHAP, she partnered with the director of epidemiology at Children’s Hospital Colorado to plan and implement a program evaluation focusing on quantitative data available.
Additionally, Chelsea worked as a customer service representative at the Student Health Insurance Office at the University of Wisconsin. Key projects in this position included creating an inventory and ordering system and developing brown bag presentations for department leaders on campus. While there, she served as the student chair for their Student Employment Committee. In this role, she planned annual retreats for student employees to hear keynote speakers and gain practical skills for their future careers.
Chelsea received her Master of Public Health with a focus in Community and Behavioral Health from the Colorado School of Public Health, where she.
Chelsea is currently enjoying the food scene in Chicago, with the goal of trying a new spot each week. At home, she tries to do the same in her cooking, and loves to share new recipes.
