With a proven ability to direct multidisciplinary teams and achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders, Jeannine Hinton brings a wide range of experience in healthcare policy and redesign to HMA. Jeannine anticipates and exceeds the needs of her clients and delivers mission-critical results.
From collaborative care to physician practice management, Jeannine applies her clinical and operational expertise to enhance systems of care and improve quality outcomes. She is a versatile leader who envisions and effectively implements key business and clinical initiatives.
As chief administrative officer for partnerships at LSU Health, Jeannine implemented and managed a contract monitoring system for public-private partnership cooperative endeavor agreements. She served as liaison to private partner executive teams for services, communication, problem resolution, and reporting activities. Jeannine managed over $100 million in contract negotiations for services and assets, including information technology, professional services, central business office, accountable care services, real estate, and equipment.
Prior to LSU, Jeannine was principal and CEO for Healthworks: A Management Service Group, LLC. She delivered services to Louisiana’s State Department of Health, hospitals, physicians, and federally qualified health centers for enhancement of business and clinical operations. Other focus areas included strategic planning, financial management and budgeting, business plans, managed care negotiations, market analysis and planning, new program and services development, rural health delivery systems, and grant writing.
Jeannine previously served as adjunct faculty at Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine for graduate and undergraduate courses on governance models, payment systems, management tools, quality, and performance improvement. Throughout her career, Jeannine has served in a variety of behavioral health positions in Louisiana.
Jeannine earned both a Master of Social Work and Master of Health Administration from Tulane University. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Newcomb College and Tulane University. Additionally, she completed the business office health informatics curriculum for training and transformation (HICATT) with the School of Biomedical Informatics at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Jeannine enjoys spending time with her family – especially her dogs. In her free time, she can be found cooking or fishing in the marshes along the coast.
