Jeff DeVries leads the HMA contracts team in ensuring the contracting process is timely, transparent and fair for both HMA and our clients. He is skilled in all aspects of contract management with expertise in highly regulated industries. Colleagues and clients alike rely on his business strategy, budgeting, compliance, and risk mitigation expertise.

Jeff supervises the contract lifecycle from proposal to closeout for all HMA consulting engagements and business partnerships. He supports proposal development and the drafting and negotiation of contracts, amendments and renewals. His team maintains all contract documentation and continuously monitors contractual compliance. Jeff recently collaborated on implementation of a new enterprise-wide software solution to further automate the contracting process and facilitate colleague oversight of client projects.

Prior to HMA, Jeff worked for an onshore independent oil and gas exploration company. He negotiated the acquisition of new leases and business arrangements, tracked existing leases and contracts, and ensured compliance with federal, state and local reporting requirements.

Jeff earned his MBA from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

Jeff spends his free time with his wife and two children, jogging on the trails around West Michigan and exploring the great outdoors in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
