With a clinical and laboratory background, as well as public health experience, Kian Ghorbanpoor is a well versed professional.

Before joining HMA, he worked closely with physicians and patients as a medical scribe and medical assistant. In that role, he handled medical records, lab testing, imaging results, appointments, and clinic administration in a neurological practice.

In addition to his clinical experience, he also served as an undergraduate research volunteer with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health conducting laboratory research on colorectal cancer, producing gene knockouts in bacterial cultures using a variety of laboratory techniques.

Kian earned a bachelor’s degree in biological science from the University of Maryland and has volunteered with One Tent Health and La Clinica Del Pueblo.
