Lucas joins HMA with a strong interest and understanding of improving health outcomes for older adults and has experience with affordable housing and healthcare operations, policy, and research.
He joins HMA from Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF), where he led the policy team’s work analyzing opportunities to better leverage resident services and service coordination in federal housing policy and programs.
Prior to SAHF, Lucas worked for a nonprofit provider of affordable housing and PACE for low-income seniors in Philadelphia. In that role, he managed new housing development and compliance, and strengthened health and housing services integration.
Lucas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he completed an honors thesis on the PACE program. Lucas also received a Master in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
