In her former role consulting for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Marlana was a driver of quality programs applying effective and efficient solutions in the Pennsylvania Medicaid program. With Marlana’s key project stewardship, Pennsylvania Medicaid was awarded accolades from CMS for Best Practices in Provider Enrollment, nominated by CMS staff to compete in the NASA Provider Enrollment Innovator Challenge, recognized as a lead innovator for the Access Plus Disease Management Program, and achieved the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s Secretary’s Excellence In Service Award for the Medical Assistance Health Information Technology Initiative.

Prior to her position at Pennsylvania Medicaid, Marlana served on teams that helped transform both JPMorgan Chase Bank and Capital BlueCross into independent organizations through operational recommendations and strategic budget initiatives.

Marlana received her bachelor’s degree from Elizabethtown College where she studied business information systems and mathematics, concentrating in database management systems and actuarial science.
