Nicole Oishi has over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles as a healthcare clinician and executive.  

Prior to joining The Focus Group, an HMA Company, Nicole served as the chief operations officer (COO) for Asserta Health. In this role, she designed and deployed a services offering and built an organizational structure and leadership team to support product delivery, customer performance and support to scale growth goals. She developed a 2-year strategic plan and operational financial model and led customer and account management and selling solutions to health plans, employer groups and providers. She advanced operational capabilities, customer experience and oversight of operational execution. 

Nicole started her career as a front-line nurse, which drove her passion to improve healthcare.  This led her into senior leadership roles across diverse healthcare organizations, giving her both a broad and deep understanding of the healthcare system. She initially focused on traditional organizations, leading healthcare purchasing as the administrator for the Washington State Health Care Authority, as the general manager for Regence’s self-funded business and later as vice president of clinical services across all lines of business for Regence (Cambia).  She became interested in the use of technology to solve healthcare problems and served as the head of success at Collective Medical and the vice president of product innovation at Matrix.  

Nicole is a member of Women Leading Health Care, Asserta Health’s Governing Board and Zipari’s Industry Advisory Board.
