A skilled project manager and disciplined leader, Wade Miller has extensive experience in Medicaid policy, healthcare information technology, managed care and claims processing. Wade is also experienced in Medicaid managed care and health insurance exchange planning. His specialties include project management; Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) planning, development and implementation; MMIS certification and evaluation; MITA assessment; Affordable Care Act implementation and ongoing operations; Integrated Eligibility System procurement planning; and independent verification and validation (IV&V) services.
Wade has led large scale healthcare information technology projects from concept to completion, including a $300 million, five-year MMIS planning, procurement and implementation project in Georgia. The system was implemented in just 21 months and subsequently certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Having worked as a state employee for two state Medicaid programs – Arizona and Georgia, Wade brings direct Medicaid operations and IT perspective to client projects. As CIO for the Georgia Department of Community Health, he led departmental strategic planning and served on the statewide technology, standards and protocol committee. He was directly responsible for fiscal agent MMIS system development, maintenance and operations. Wade is also credited with drafting the advance planning documents, resulting in more than $40 million in federal funding for IT system design, development and implementation.
Wade is adept in understanding client needs – helping clients make informed decisions and assisting them in achieving their goals and objectives.
Wade has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Arizona State University.
