Ward Moncrief came to HMA in 2015 with more than three decades of property management, maintenance, construction and security experience. For HMA, he manages 99,000 +/- square feet of leased office space in many of the most in-demand real estate markets in the country. He coordinates office relocations, expansions, and procurement of new space as HMA continues to expand its national footprint. Ward is also responsible for space planning, the purchase of office furnishings, and property inventory. He is driven to ensure a safe, productive and professional office environment for both colleagues and clients.
Ward is a fixer. Some like it hot, some like it cold, power outages, and fire drills are all just in a day’s work. Ward describes himself as old-fashioned – preferring a handshake or telephone call to a text message. A team player he believes people working together can accomplish far more than one working alone.
Prior to HMA, Ward was a facilities management consultant for the Florida Department of Financial Services, a Cabinet level state agency. Supervising a team of six, he managed 766,000 square feet of state-owned and leased office space in 27 facilities with a total rental value of $13 million. Ward also supervised all renovation and tenant improvement projects.
Ward earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University and is a certified public manager and Florida certified contract manager.
A member of the Florida Cracker Horse Association, trail riding and working the cattle at his family’s ranch in Madison, Florida, are among his favorite pastimes.
