Florida-Illinois CHIPRA Library
Health Management Associates managed an $11.3 million, 6-year effort for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) focused on improving health care quality and delivery systems for children enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
The effort was funded by a demonstration grant jointly awarded to both agencies in 2010. Initiatives were implemented in four key federal priority areas:
- Experimenting with and evaluating the use of quality
- Promoting the use of Health Information Technology (HIT) in the delivery of care for children;
- Evaluating provider-based models which improve the delivery of Medicaid/CHIP children’s health care services; and
- Assessing the utility of other innovative approaches to enhance child health care quality.
HMA has an extensive library of documents from these initiatives. Documents for these priority areas are now available to download.
