In this new report by HMA, Private Equity and Health Care Delivery: Physician Perspectives on Access, Capacity, and Innovation, we present findings from a national survey of physicians examining how private equity investment affects patient access, physician autonomy, staffing, operational capacity, technology adoption, and innovation.
This report was commissioned by the American Investment Council and is based on findings from an independent national survey of physicians conducted in April 2026. The findings are intended to inform evidence-based discussions about the role of private equity investment in health care delivery.
