Gina is committed to improving access to and quality of care in the public sector. For 25 years, she has dedicated her career to strengthening behavioral health systems and advancing meaningful, system-level change. Grounded in firsthand clinical experience and guided by a commitment to public sector impact, Gina brings a servant leadership approach to building high-performing teams, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and improving care for individuals and communities.
As a national expert in behavioral health strategy, policy, clinical design and operations, and partnership development. She works with states, counties, managed care plans, and large providers across the country. She is passionate about effective implementation of behavioral health integration; supporting providers on quality improvement, including enhancing measurement-based care; bringing behavioral health services into the community; developing partnerships; and leveraging human-centered design in behavioral health models.
Prior to consulting, Gina served as a clinical psychologist in one of Colorado’s state hospitals, working with individuals with serious mental illness, and as Behavioral Health Director for a community behavioral health provider, where she helped launch integrated primary and behavioral health services. Gina co-edited a book on effective integrated care for the American Psychiatric Association and often speaks on system design, change management, team development, and clinical innovation. Gina earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Denver and a master’s in public leadership with a specialization in multisector management from The George Washington University.
