Aashna Kaur is a consultant at HMA based in New York City. In this role, she focuses on work at the intersection of healthcare and public health and has expertise in qualitative research, data analysis, writing, and providing intelligence to clients. Aashna also specializes in projects related to health system growth strategy, behavioral health, provider/care delivery transformation, and Medicare Advantage. 

Prior to joining HMA, Aashna gained relevant experience through roles in population health management and health policy working at Save the Children and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as well as experience working abroad in South Africa in the reproductive health space. She also spent time as a former research associate for the ReLateral Lab based out of Cornell University, where she used community-based participatory research methods to conduct health equity research and write grants to support future work. During this time, she also worked directly with the director of ReLateral to launch the Center for Cultural Humility, an organization that seeks to develop culturally responsive and evidence-based practice, research, and policy. 

Aashna earned a Master of Science in public health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology and behavior from Cornell University.
