A highly organized and dedicated healthcare professional, Anya Yermishkin combines her research and administrative experience with her drive to serve others working on client and firm projects. She is interested in healthcare equity, accessibility to care and continued growth among all communities.

As a research associate with HMA, Anya has collaborated on projects related to justice-involved populations, Medicaid eligibility, care coordination, policy development, workforce analysis, human services needs assessments, market research, financial budgeting, and accessibility compliance. She has drafted legislative reports and final deliverables; contributed research, data analysis, and literature reviews; conducted stakeholder engagement; and supported project management across multiple engagements.

Prior to joining HMA, Anya provided holistic customer service to members with a variety of complex health insurance needs, assisting them through claim denials, authorization issues, and general benefit inquiries, while also building trusting relationships through clear and honest communication. She also has experience supporting individuals with a wide range of complex healthcare needs. As a personal care attendant (PCA), she was responsible for the one-on-one care of two individuals ages 12-25 with diagnoses ranging from Hurler’s Syndrome to Psychosis. Anya provided mental and physical support by monitoring behavior, guiding daily tasks, and tracking medication.

In addition to her healthcare sector experience, Anya has experience providing academic and administrative support in the education sector. With TRIO Upward Bound, she worked with low-income high school students as a teaching assistant and administrative assistant. During her time there, she enhanced and articulated standardized testing and college readiness curricula, collaborating to coordinate lesson plans across groups.

Anya graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in health services management, a minor in public health, and a certificate of applied business.

Outside of work, Anya enjoys yoga, walking by the lake and cooking with her friends.
