Brandon Greife is an experienced health policy professional who leverages his expertise in Medicaid and technology to improve the way healthcare is incentivized, paid for, delivered, and measured. He is a dynamic leader who cultivates relationships, translates outcomes into requirements, and designs technology solutions to improve outcomes for clients and the stakeholders they serve.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Brandon was a leader in the public sector portfolio of Innovaccer, a population health management company. He led the firm’s business development and strategy teams focused on Medicaid, public health, and other human service domains. Brandon was responsible for working with product teams across the software development lifecycle to build technology capabilities and solutions to answer market needs. He also served as a Medicaid subject matter expert on the delivery of data integration and decision support solutions.

Previously, Brandon worked a manager of SAS’s health outcomes practice, where he guided a team of industry consultants designed to maximize the utilization and outcomes of technology solutions. In this role, he worked with several states to leverage business intelligence, data analytics, and visualization tools to improve policymaking and programmatic performance.

Brandon also has a background working in the governmental sector, serving as senior healthcare policy adviser for the North Carolina General Assembly. He was responsible for the development and passage of key health and human services legislation. His notable achievements during this time included orchestrating a comprehensive reform of North Carolina’s Medicaid program from fee-for-service to value-based managed care, reviving the statewide health information exchange, and maturing a cross-departmental data integration initiative.

Brandon earned a juris doctorate degree and a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
