At the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, Brittany developed training curriculums for Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Medicaid waiver programs, as well as the policy, procedures, and training curricula for Texas Health Steps IDD transition population. She worked in collaboration with other state agencies in preparation for the managed care implementation for state recipients. Brittany previously had roles at the Austin State Hospital and the Austin State Supported Living Center, where she provided direct nursing care and administrative oversight to individuals with IDD and serious mental illnesses.
