Gabby Palmieri specializes in healthcare strategy and policy research, with a focus on Medicaid and Medicare. Her work centers on analyzing how health systems, payers, and providers respond to policy changes and evolving market dynamics. 

At Health Management Associates (HMA), Gabby is part of the HMA Information Services (HMAIS) team, where she researches and reports on Medicaid and Medicare policy trends and developments. 

Before joining HMA, Gabby worked at Guidepoint Global, where she supported research projects in institutional healthcare and life sciences. She collaborated with project teams to identify relevant expertise, synthesize insights, and help shape research approaches for client engagements. She also completed an internship with the same firm, contributing to projects that required in-depth industry knowledge and tailored research support. 

Gabby previously spent two years in academia as a teaching assistant for a health policy course at Penn State University. In this role, she designed and led a health system simulation that explored how cost, quality, and equity considerations influence decision-making. 

Gabby has a bachelor’s degree in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University. 

 In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants in New York City, running, and spending time with her dog.
