An innovative and experienced healthcare researcher and consultant, Linh Tran has conducted research and applied findings to help advance healthcare initiatives and programs in university and corporate settings.

Before joining HMA, Linh conducted literature reviews on quality measures, care utilization, and insurance policies to reveal gaps and identify opportunities for further research while serving as a graduate research assistant at Pennsylvania State University. In that role, she also analyzed, interpreted, and reported data in large sets including Medicare claims and Truven Health MarketScan encounters. She also helped plan and conduct real-world evidence studies and collaborated with faculty members to contribute to research publications, project deliverables, and presentations for healthcare conferences.

As an intern with Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, she helped medical and clinical oncology teams to plan and conduct studies as well as provided insight and supported research and studies. Adept at managing and deciphering large datasets, she has experience working with databases from state, federal, and local governments as well as Internet resources, associations and organizations. She uses Stata software to integrate and process data.

Linh earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy and Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
