Molly’s expertise is built on extensive leadership experience within hospital operations and finance. Before joining Health Management Associates, she was chief operating officer at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Wisconsin, where she managed budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Molly held finance leadership positions and served as senior vice president of finance and chief operating officer (COO) at the Wisconsin Hospital Association. In these roles, she led strategic and operational initiatives, worked closely with executive stakeholders and boards, and contributed to statewide policy and performance improvement efforts.
A significant part of Molly’s career has centered on advancing rural healthcare. Her direct work with Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and rural emergency medical services (EMS) organizations has given them valuable insight into the unique financial, operational, and regulatory challenges faced by these providers. Molly’s practical understanding includes navigating intricate reimbursement structures, ensuring access to care, and supporting sustainability in underserved communities.
Known for a collaborative leadership style, Molly excels at translating complex financial and regulatory concepts into practical strategies for executive teams. She frequently partners with hospital leaders, boards, and operational groups to optimize margins and align financial planning with long-term organizational objectives. Molly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
