An experienced and organized accountant with more than 20 years’ experience with accounting, accounts payable, human resources and payroll administration.  Monica Swearingen has provided support in various departments with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Before joining HMA, she worked as a system manager and system analyst within the organization. Her service also included working as a facilities and payroll accountant as well as a senior accountant for two TMH affiliate companies. An adept problem solver with a keen eye for detail, she provided department support for the financial systems, implementing system enhancements and creating user accounts and assigning appropriate profiles.

Her knowledge of database structure in the Lawson system and eTime portals led her to develop custom reports and implement system upgrades.

She earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Florida State University and an associate’s degree from Gulf Coast Community College.

Monica has been married to her husband for 24 years and she has two sons.  She loves to spend time at the beach, shopping, traveling with family, and is a huge golf fan.
