Tina Harper has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting with over 10 years in healthcare financial, operational, and clinical analysis.
Prior to joining Burns & Associates, Inc., a division of Health Management Associates, Tina worked as a controller at Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. As a member of the senior leadership team, she directed all financial activities including preparation of the annual hospital budget, financial statements, and accounting oversight. She collaborated closely with hospital leaders to align staffing models with budgets based on patient volume and also managed administrator on-call duties. Having previously been a colleague at Burns & Associates in 2018, Tina has returned to utilize her extensive expertise in acute care operations, finance, and research, further strengthening efforts related to Home and Community Based Services and other state programs.
Tina has held several pivotal roles, contributing significantly to multiple institutions. As an associate director of finance at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, she managed finance for a robust oncology research program. She revamped reporting, increased payments from sponsors, and corrected charge analysis issues. At Banner Health Corporate, she served as a financial analysis consultant, revamping stewardship reporting and aiding MD Anderson projects. Earlier at Banner Gateway Medical Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center, she presented on data analytics, built productivity dashboards, and played a key role in ActionOI implementation.
Tina has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Northwestern University. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband, daughters, and large extended family. Her interests include cooking, travel, and dancing.
