Kylee Kwedar has 10 years of experience working in health policy and health information technology with expertise in project management and analysis of healthcare systems. As a senior consultant at HMA, Kylee manages projects that review and analyze healthcare regulations, systems implementations and performs business analysis of Medicaid eligibility requirements for clients.
Prior to joining HMA, Kylee held multiple roles at IBM Consulting. In the role of project manager, she ensured work allocations and assignments remained within scope, schedule, and defined budget. She managed project timelines and costs to ensure that requirements defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) were met. She nurtured relationships with project stakeholders and provided expertise in handling Medicare Quality Reporting appeals and implementing Medicaid policy in IT systems. In the role of senior business analyst, Kylee coordinated sprint and release planning sessions as scrum master/team leader. She analyzed Medicaid cycle memos, supported business requirements gathering sessions and authored documentation for the Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Financial System (MACFin).
As a project lead at ActioNet, Kylee managed the processing, reporting and review of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) complaints, organized the data collection, and completed a formal review and final recommendation of compliance to CMS partners. She directed focus groups and joint application development (JAD) sessions with CMS experts and authored white papers, policy briefings, and industry-wide announcements relating to HIPAA Administrative Simplification Compliance.
Kylee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in health policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Master of Science in health informatics administration from the University of Maryland, Global Campus. She is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
