An expert in hospital, physician and outpatient/ambulatory surgery center reimbursement, Jason Brehm’s experience includes Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement strategies for hospitals and health systems, physician group benchmarking and compensation strategies, and mergers and acquisitions.

During his career, Jason has managed multiple projects and helped implement strategic initiatives, , improve profitability, and position organizations for the future. He joins HMA after serving as a manager with Somerset CPAs and Advisors. While there, his work included evaluating orthopedic practices and divisions, providing recommendations for physician compensation, and financial modeling of Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Jason also served a tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in various roles and managed many large-scale strategic projects designed to help health systems optimize Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. His experience included working with the country’s largest health systems and advising on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations, cost reporting, and other reporting requirements, as well as handling various financial responsibilities.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Indiana. He is an avid boater and loves dogs. Jason has a goldendoodle named Lucky and considers him very lucky.
