Kristin Allen directs all digital and social media efforts at HMA. From managing the website to crafting new case studies, Kristin highlights the skills and accomplishments of colleagues across the firm and keeps HMA up to date on the latest digital platforms and strategies.
Kristin joined HMA from Michigan’s Office of Highway Safety Planning. As digital media strategist, Kristin created and maintained a social media presence using the avenues of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube through both organic and paid posts. She updated marketing materials and redesigned the website to better serve users. As chair of the Michigan Traffic Safety Summit, Kristin organized and planned a statewide conference for over 700 attendees.
Kristin coordinated the Drive Slow on Ice and Snow campaign, including press releases, paid advertising and social media efforts. She assisted the Strive for a Safer Drive teen driving campaign with all communication efforts, including letters, press releases, and management of the social media accounts. Additionally, Kristin worked with the Detroit Tigers to target key demographics through sports with Fourth of July impaired driving messaging, supported by paid advertising and earned media efforts. She also served as communications representative for the motorcycle, child passenger, tween belt, and senior driver safety programs.
As constituent relations coordinator for Michigan’s House of Representatives, Kristin worked directly with representatives on constituent outreach in their respective districts. She organized and facilitated events, such as tele-town halls, constituent contact programs, and town halls.
Kristin previously served as a public relations intern with Truscott Rossman and a legislative intern with Michigan’s House of Representatives. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and volunteers with the Capital Area Humane Society.
Kristin received her bachelor’s degree in advertising with a specialization in public relations from Michigan State University.
