Evan Terry is a data and technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in business analytics. Specializing in engineering processes that align with an enterprise’s strategic vision, Evan has demonstrated success in tackling intricate challenges while navigating complex hurdles. His expertise includes technology strategy, operational efficiency, analytics and data management.
Before joining Health Management Associates, Evan was the first chief information officer (CIO) for Cprime, Inc., a rapidly expanding international technology consultancy. Evan established the firm’s technology and information strategies, leading the operational integration of acquisitions, standardizing systems and developing an information technology (IT) architecture to facilitate rapid growth. He selected and implemented an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that improved project management controls, streamlined financial transactions, and ultimately reduced overall accounts receivable (AR) balances. He also designed and implemented a new operations data management platform, halving financial month-end close processes and providing critical management reporting capabilities.
Evan implements advanced analytics, prioritizing reducing costs and providing improved business insights to better inform strategic decisions. At Cprime, he collaborated with executive stakeholders to consolidate SaaS spending and align IT initiatives with business objectives, resulting in a 15 percent reduction in IT spending. As Velocity Financial’s chief analytics officer (CAO), Evan led the development of a robust analytics platform and built the company’s first data warehouse and data hub, delivering near real-time reporting and generating month-to-date financial position reports daily. He also engineered a predictive loan origination model that accurately forecasted within a 5 percent margin, allowing for optimal utilization of existing funding facilities for more efficient resource allocation and reduced capital costs.
Beyond directing technology and process improvements, Evan establishes and enforces IT governance policies, standards and procedures. For Cprime, he created a comprehensive corporate information security program, including device endpoint protection, data loss prevention, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance, and ransomware and phishing defense. Working as senior manager of advanced analytics with West Monroe, LLC, he delivered IT strategy and governance advisory and technical services to multiple clients across industries.
Evan also excels at managing the logistics of organizational growth and acquisitions. During periods of expansion, Evan has assembled, trained and cultivated multiple high-performing data and analytics teams. He has experience leading “pre-close” technical due-diligence assessments of target companies’ IT departments for mergers and acquisitions.
Evan earned his Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and his bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from McGill University.
