With over 25 years of experience, Andy Adams has demonstrated success helping healthcare organizations improve financial performance through revenue cycle optimization and operations improvement. Working with hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and other healthcare companies, Andy leverages his performance optimization, financial outcomes improvement, revenue cycle redesign and health information technology expertise to transform operations and deliver measurable improvements.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Andy served as the Healthcare Provider Finance practice leader at Nordic Global. In this role, he led development and delivery of innovative solutions in revenue cycle optimization, margin improvement, patient experience, and change management.

Andy has led large-scale revenue cycle transformations, including consolidating operations, improving vendor performance, designing and implementing new billing systems, and driving efficiencies. In addition to his focus on revenue cycle improvement, Andy prioritizes financial performance, driving fiscal sustainability to ultimately improve care. He increases net revenue and reduces avoidable write-offs by pairing operational redesign with technology enhancements and data-driven improvement.

Andy has a Master of Health Services Administration in healthcare management and policy as well as a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and biology from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has completed MIT Sloan’s Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare executive course.
