Laura Olson has over 25 years of experience in information technology, specializing in healthcare data analytics, Medicaid systems, business intelligence, and data warehousing. She brings deep domain expertise and a strong track record of delivering data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, support policy compliance, and improve health outcomes.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Laura served as a principal data analyst at Optum, where she led complex data integration and management initiatives for the State of Michigan’s Health and Human Services data warehouse. Her work included full lifecycle project leadership, development of custom reporting systems, support for high-impact public health initiatives such as the Flint Water Crisis response and authored key planning documents like the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Advanced Planning Document (APD).

Laura is known for her strategic thinking, technical leadership, and ability to bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. She is a trusted advisor, valued for her adaptability, integrity, and commitment to client success in dynamic environments.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Michigan State University.
