Reem Sharaf is a licensed clinical social worker and behavioral health leader with 15 years of experience in program development and clinical services. As a clinician she primarily served individuals at both an outpatient community mental health clinic and at an academic, state-level hospital covering the Emergency Department. As a service provider she specialized in providing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families.
In addition to her clinical work, she has worked in community and behavioral health programming from program development to implementation and operational management. A skilled strategic planner, she excels at defining long-term strategies, allocating budgets and resources, driving engagement across national and international systems, and cultivating stakeholder relationships. She has extensive experience working with marginalized, refugee, immigrant, and vulnerable populations and brings to her work a cross-cultural perspective.
Reem earned her Master of Social Work, concentrating in behavioral health, and a bachelor’s degree in community health from the University of Maryland. She is a Certified ScrumMaster and a bi-lingual Arabic speaker.
