Jeff Greshak is a seasoned behavioral health professional with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, leadership, clinical program planning and implementation across healthcare systems as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and individual and commercial insurers.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Jeff spent over a decade working with Priority Health, Inc., the second largest insurer in Michigan with over 1 million covered individuals. Most recently, Jeff served as the behavioral health director, overseeing all behavioral health services for a large managed care plan with Medicare, Medicaid, individual, and commercial insurance products, while ensuring compliance with governmental, accreditation and compliance standards. He transformed the care model by developing innovative strategies, including telehealth, digital self-management tools, stigma reduction initiatives, community-based care management and an opioid management program.

In this role, Jeff led the behavioral health clinical program development, utilization management and quality improvement activities. His experience developing and administering programs also includes Medicare, Medicaid, MIChild, Healthy Michigan, Child and Family Services, outpatient counseling, outreach counseling, foster care visitation, Families First, and youth residential treatment programs.

Jeff is a skilled team leader and administrator adept at utilization management, complex care management, clinical quality assurance, crisis intervention, call center administration, evaluation and reporting, and coaching. As Priority Health’s behavioral health clinical manager, Jeff was responsible for the overall population behavioral health outcomes. With Network180, he managed full system of care operation, providing behavioral health services to over 4,000 adult patients with developmental disabilities and complex needs.

Leading quality assurance and improvement audits throughout his career, Jeff has worked with the State of Michigan, the Michigan Association of Health Plans, multiple boards of directors, and various accreditation and regulatory bodies. For Bethany Christian Services, he managed contracts with the Department of Human Services and Juvenile Court. Jeff has also managed staff and teams of various sizes and levels of responsibility, leading trainings, evaluations, and professional development opportunities.

Jeff is experienced in strategic planning, process improvement, project management, budget oversight, compliance and accreditation, policy development and assessment, and service provider and vendor management.  As Priority Health’s Medicaid Operations manager, Jeff coordinated the integration of all functional operations including mobile application development, enrollment and reconciliation, claims processing, process improvement, results reporting, state hearings, policy development and review, and vendor contract review. He has successfully implemented strategies for responding to member appeals and grievances, improving processes and workflows, managing vendors and developing policies.

A licensed master social worker, Jeff’s background in children and family mental healthcare informs his career objective to positively impact behavioral and physical health systems through policy and practice. In addition to his administration experience, Jeff has provided direct patient care as a Families First therapist with Bethany Chrisitan Services, providing intensive, short-term home-based therapy to families at risk of losing their children. He has also served as an assertive community treatment advocate and social worker with North Central Community Mental Health, now Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority, and a patient caregiver with Riverview Residential Treatment.

Jeff earned his Master of Social Work and his bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice emphasizing juvenile justice and law enforcement from Grand Valley State University. He received his master social worker license from the State of Michigan and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Jeff also has certificates in reality therapy and lead management from William Glasser and in balanced scorecard systems from the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership.
