An accomplished executive, Kim Lester has extensive experience leading company operations and managing all aspects of government contracts. She has demonstrated success building cross-functional teams, managing complex projects and administering financial budgets to improve functionality across multiple lines of operation.

With Health Management Associates, Kim supports the contracting lifecycle as the federal contracts manager. She oversees the contracting process for all HMA clients across the enterprise, with a special focus on HMA’s federal work.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Kim was president of HG Contracts Consulting, where she assisted clients in all aspects of their work with the federal government. In addition to her general contract work, Kim prepared and negotiated General Service Administration (GSA) Schedule contracts, including awards and modifications, as well as formatting and transmitting data to the GSA’s procurement database. She was responsible for presenting recommendations to management for specific contract actions; billing, tracking and reporting compliance policies and practices; and accounting improvements.

Kim has repeated success leading the development and implementation of complex initiatives, including projects valued at more than $20 million annually. Working in multiple capacities as director of contracts and operations with X Energy LLC, Kim constructed growth plans that aligned with corporate priorities and led a $40 million program. As Aquilent’s senior contract manager, she successfully negotiated one of the first GSA evergreen continuation contracts for the IT Schedule 70 (IT70), a governmentwide acquisition contract.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland.
