Leslie Ramirez provides research and project support for clients, including project management. Her skills also include stakeholder engagement, data analysis, managed care contract analysis, and quantitative and qualitative research.

Leslie has applied these skills to support a range of projects including community and behavioral needs assessments, strategic planning, market assessments, developing policy models, grant writing, and competitive procurements. Her subject interests include health equity, social determinants of health, and maternal and child health.

She began her tenure at HMA as a Health Career Connections intern, a highly selective internship program focused on professional development, health equity, racial justice, and other health-related workshops. As part of her internship, she supported project work for a foundation client, including the development of materials for an interactive convening for up to 50 community health workers.

Leslie previously worked as a research assistant for Boston Medical Center’s All of Us Research Program. In this role, she helped participants navigate the process of joining a national research program with more than 270,000 participants. She also coordinated with other research assistants to keep track of patients and communicate their status. She served as an international peer mentor and senior peer health educator while attending Boston University.

Leslie earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University’s Sargent’s College of Health and Rehabilitation and is Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certified. She is fluent in Spanish.
