As HMA’s in-house graphic designer, Matt Hudson generates and transforms a variety of marketing materials and visual products across the firm. With expertise in grid layout, typography, and color theory, Matt produces unrivaled Microsoft templates, email marketing campaigns, and deliverables for colleagues and clients.

Matt joined HMA from the Michigan Senate Democrats where he worked in graphic and web design for five years. Matt established a corporate and branding identity during a crucial campaign cycle. He developed the Flint Water Crisis website for the Democratic Caucus and designed all internal and external marketing materials including digital and print brochures. Matt created invitations and assembled presentation boards and PowerPoint presentations for the organization’s annual conferences and fundraisers.

Over the past six years, Matt has been a freelance graphic designer with his own company, Hudson Designs. He previously worked as a graphic design technician with the Lansing State Journal.

Matt is proficient with Adobe software, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. He is accomplished in HTML and CCS, image editing, and interface and responsive web design.

Matt attended Lansing Community College where he majored in applied arts and graphic design.
