Randall Washington is a process-driven project management professional with a strong public health research background and over 10 years of experience managing multi-million dollar research projects in the federal government, nonprofit and consulting arenas. Randall is skilled in project planning documentation and implementation, including success metrics, stakeholder designation, scope, budget, milestones, deliverables, project dependencies, timeline and communications, as well as process management, with resourcing, launch and delivery, reviews and evaluations.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Randall was a project manager with Omnicell, Inc., where she managed over $10 million of project revenue from launch to closure. She was responsible for carrying out strategic initiatives pertaining to small to medium-scale, medium-complexity projects. She also developed, monitored and controlled project plans for multiple engagements, coordinating all project efforts to successful completion within cost, schedule and quality expectations. Randall gained experience cultivating cross functional and client relationships and developed a deep understanding of specialty and advance product solution processes.

Randall was a research project analyst for Karna LLC, where she led and directly provided scientific support to research, implementation, and evaluation studies relating to health communication and social marketing, including a $3 million CDC vaccine education project. She worked with department leadership and stakeholders to manage project plans, including the budgets, communications plans, scopes, timelines and milestones. She also developed and delivered proposals and progress reports; tracked and reported program plans, risk, issues and change logs; and served as the main point of contact for clients. Randall established the project management office’s (PMO’s) processes and procedures for the organization’s project portfolio, including employee training, reporting tools, proposals, requirement documentation and presentations.

As a research associate with the Schroeder Institute’s Truth Initiative, Randall managed research projects for internal and external workgroups, planning, budgeting and submitting grant proposals. She developed, implemented, analyzed and reported evaluation data for Truth Initiative programs. Working to drive continuous improvement, she designed key performance indicators, including the Schroeder Institute Evaluation Framework, in line with the PMO’s strategic plan. In this role, and as a research associate with Ripple Effect, Randall conducted surveys, performed quantitative and qualitative research analysis, and collaborated with local, state and federal partners. She also led publication development, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, reports, posters, web articles and presentations.

Randall earned her Master of Public Health in community and behavioral health from East Tennessee State University and her bachelor’s degree in English from Union University. She also has a project management certification from the Project Management Institute.
