With experience in Medicare and Medicaid financing and growth, as well as strategic partnerships and planning, Shane Spotts is a seasoned business development and healthcare consulting expert.
He rejoins HMA after serving with Anthem, Inc., in business development and alliance building roles. In these positions, he was responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing partnership agreements and unique business structures with health plans and provider groups.
In addition, Shane worked closely with stakeholders on agreement structures and financing as well as driving nationwide growth for the company’s Medicare and Medicaid products. He also maintained a 100 percent win rate across markets and served in an interim chief executive officer role.
While previously serving as a principal with HMA, he developed expertise in Medicaid and Intellectual/Development Disability (I/DD) financing and strategic planning. During that time, he also helped create the Indiana Integrated Healthcare Provider Association to develop a provider-led managed care model for long-term services and supports population and services.
Shane’s additional experience includes providing technical assistance to states, managing Medicaid waiver programs, applying for, and managing, grants and securing cost savings for programs.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public policy and economics from Indiana University.
