Medi-Cal experts, including HMA’s Margaret Tatar, provided an overview of the program during a presentation in Sacramento, and via webcast, on Feb. 25. The event was sponsored by the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF).
Tatar was part of a panel which included high-level state researchers, advocates, and policymakers. They provided insights about the Medi-Cal, including oversight and financing of the program. Presenters also discussed the future of Medi-Cal.
During the presentation, CHCF released the Medi-Cal Explained series which provides an overview of the program, including the people it serves, the services it provides, and how it is organized, managed, and financed.
